PLASU VC HANDS OVER PROPOSED FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE SITE TO CONTRACTOR.

In furtherance of the development of additional facilities on the Campus of Plateau State University Bokkos, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Yohana Daniel Izam today handed over a new site for the construction of classrooms, offices and laboratories under year 2020 - 2021 merged TETFund intervention to Messrs APD Associates, Consultants to the project; and Andex Press and Allied Company, the contracting firm handling the project.
Professor Izam who was represented at the site handing over by the Registrar, Plateau State University Bokkos, Mr. Yakubu Ayuba called on the consultant and contractor to ensure timely and quality delivery of the work in addition to keeping to the terms of the contract.
He appreciated Tertiary Education Trust Fund for the good work it is doing by transforming infrastructure in tertiary institutions accross the country and particularly in Plateau State University, Bokkos
He also used the occasion to appreciate Governor Lalong for creating the enabling environment and support for the University. The Executive Secretary of TETFund, Professor Suleiman Elias Bogoro was specially appreciated for approving the interventions for the various projects that Plateau State University has benefited from.
While thanking other stakeholders for sharing in the Plateau State University vision, Professor Izam assured of the commitment of the University to share in the vision of the Federal and State Governments in agricultural revolution by soon establishing the Faculty of Agriculture in the University.
Also speaking,Messrs Olapade Muftau Muradeyi of APD Consultants and Bature Samson, Project Manager Messrs Andex Press and Allied Company assured of their resolve and commitment to keep to the terms of the contract and to deliver on schedule.
Ward Head of Diram, Maren J. Magwah, the Youth Leader Danladi Mabas and a representative of the Women of the host Community, Mrs. Hannatu Luka Mwash while promising to cooperate with the University in it's development aspirations called on the Management of the University and the contracting firm to involve youths of the area in the construction work and in other gainful services so as to keep them off criminal activities.
The Project is expected to be completed in 46 weeks.
