BE GOOD AMBASSADORS OF PLASU: IZAM CHARGES SIWES STUDENTS.

Vice Chancellor Plateau State University Bokkos, Professor Yohana Izam has charged students of the University proceeding on the Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme to be of good conduct in various places of industrial attachment.
Professor Izam gave the charge during an Orientation programme organized by the Coordinating office of the Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme in conjunction with Industrial Training Fund which took place in the University
Professor Izam who was represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic, Professor Pyefa Galadima Moses noted that the Students Industrial work Experience Scheme is tailored to expose students and bridge the gap between theory acquired in classrooms and practical knowledge in a typical work environment.
Director General Industrial Training Fund Sir Joseph Ari who was represented by the Area Manager of ITF Jos, Mr.Wilfred Mukan expressed appreciation to the management of the Plateau State university Bokkos for the partnership enjoyed so far.
The Director General assured that ITF is poised at strengthening manpower development and promised to sustain the scheme towards making Nigeria an industrialized nation.
The programmes recognized by the National Universities Commission for participation in the Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme are; Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology, Geography and Computer Science and physics.
The orientation ceremony featured questions and answer session which made clarifications on grey areas to enable the students understand their obligations.
In a vote of thanks, Coordinator SIWES Plateau State University Bokkos, Dr Nancy Dawam appreciated the Industrial Training Fund for the commitment exhibited in the success of the programme and other training schemes introduced for the youth in Nigeria.
