FORMER CLASSMATES RALLY ROUND VC TO BUILD PLASU.

Old students of Nakam Memorial Secondary school Panyam have pledged to support their member, Prof. Malau Bernard Matur who was recently appointed Vice Chancellor of the Plateau State University Bokkos.
Chairman of Set 87 graduates of the college, Professor John Barnabas Nvau on Friday said the success of their classmate – Matur will be a credit to the entire set.
Prof. Nvau during a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor appreciated Governor Simon Bako Lalong for appointing their member who is a renowned public health practitioner to head the University.
He advised Matur to operate an open-door policy and work in line with the motto of their alma mater which is "work in the light" to grow the university.
Prof. Matur in his remarks appreciated the team for identifying with him as he takes over the leadership of the Plateau State University, Bokkos.
According to him, the visit and solidarity of his secondary school classmates has further strengthened his resolve to put in his best in the service of the University and the state.

Professor Matur said “now I am assured that I have an array of people of diverse professional and academic credentials to consult and tap from their wealth of experience in furtherance of my obligations and responsibilities".
While urging them to continuously pray along with him for God's guidance and favour to enable him succeed, Matur noted that being a native of the university’s host community, he will strive to solve any conflicts of interest and meet the expectations of the state before his tenure elapses.
High-points of the visit was the presentation of a plague of accomplishment to the Vice Chancellor by the set’s head-boy, Professor Ishaya Longdet.
Special prayers were also offered for the VC and the University.
