PLASU HOSTS RESOURCE VERIFICATION TEAMS FOR NEW UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES

Resource Verification Teams for new Programmes soon to be added to the list of undergraduate programmes in Plateau State University Bokkos have visited the University.
The first five teams under the leadership of Professor Maitama Abubakar were received in the University by the Vice Chancellor Professor Matur Malau Bernard who expressed gratitude to the National Universities Commission for accepting to examine the human and material resources available and the level of preparedness of the University to warrant the approval of the authorities for the commencement of the programmes.
Professor Matur while praying for the success of the exercise commended both the National Universities Commission and the team of Academicians assembled for the exercise.
Responding, Leader of the Resource Verification Team, Professor Maitama Abubakar said they were in the University based on the request of the institution to the National Universities Commission to increase the number of its academic programmes.
He expressed gratitude to the University who through the Director of Academic Planning, Professor John Barnabas Nvau for the elaborate preparations made to receive them, promising to complete their assignment early to enable the University kickstart the lined up programmes.
The resource verification teams who undertook their assignment today were those of Biology, Chemistry, Information Technology, Education and Social Sciences.
The Team appraised the University's library facilities, the E-library, laboratories, office and classroom accommodation, furniture and staff disposition.
Deans of the various Faculties were on hand to receive and conduct them round their facilities.
