PLASU WALKS FOR LATE DR NANCY KATU OGUNDIMU

The Vice Chancellor of Plateau State University Bokkos Professor Matur Malau Bernard has described the late Head of Department Mass Communications Plateau State University Bokkos Dr. Nancy Katu Ogundimu as an exceptional academic who's contributions to the Senate of the University and the Department of Mass Communications were exemplary and should be emulated by other members of Senate and her department.
Professor Matur who was speaking at a valedictory walk organised in honour of late Dr. Nancy Katu Ogundimu by the Department of Mass Communications of the University said the death of Dr. Nancy came as a rude shock which sent shivers to the spine of not only her department but the entire University community particularly the Senate and Management particularly when her positive, immense and qualitative contributions to deliberations in the Senate are considered.
He said the University Senate had recently endorsed that a procession be organized in her honour as a third tier member before her demise.
Professor Matur used the occasion to further sympathize with staff and students of the department of Mass Communication over her death and called on them to give the new head of department the required encouragement and support to enable the department grow.
Other speakers who paid posthumous respect and glowing tributes to the former Head of Department were Professor Moses Galadima Pyefa who said he knew late Nancy as an intelligent and extra-ordinary personality when he first met her at the School of Preliminary Studies, Keffi.
He said her death came so sudden with no prior signs and said the best way to appreciate her is to hold dear what she lived for and impacted on the University community.
Other speakers were the new Head of Department of Mass Communications, Dr. Michael Adeyanjo and the President of the Department of Mass Students Association, Dalap Isaac Simon who all showered accolades on the late Dr. Nancy Katu Ogundimu and prayed God to grant her soul eternal repose.
